THAI YOGA MASSAGE
Thai yoga massage, also known as Thai massage or Thai bodywork, is a traditional healing therapy that originated in Thailand. It combines elements of acupressure, yoga, and assisted stretching to provide a unique and holistic approach to bodywork.
During a Thai yoga massage session, the recipient remains fully clothed and lies on a mat on the floor. I use my hands, thumbs, elbows, knees, and feet to apply pressure on specific points along the body's energy lines, known as "sen" lines. I also incorporate passive stretching and gentle yoga-like movements to increase flexibility and release tension.
Thai yoga massage aims to restore balance and harmony in the body by clearing energy blockages and promoting the flow of vital energy, known as "prana" or "chi." It can help improve flexibility, relieve muscle tension, reduce stress, and enhance overall well-being. It is often described as a dynamic and interactive form of bodywork that promotes both physical and mental relaxation.
